American Standard Woodruff Keyseat Cutters Are Intentionally Manufactured With An Oversized Diameter To Allow For Tool Sharpening. The Diameter Oversize Tolerances For American Standard Woodruff Keyseat Cutters Are As Follows: +.010" To +.015" For Diameters 1/4" Through 3/4"; +.012" To +.017" For Diameters 7/8" Through 1-1/8"; And +.015" To +.020" For Diameters 1-1/4" Through 1-1/2". These Keo® Keyseat (Or Woodruff-Keyseat Style) Cutters Are Made Of High-Speed Steel, With A Left-Hand Cutting Direction. That Means The Cutter Is Intended To Rotate Opposite The Direction Of A Normal Right-Hand Cutter — So That It Cuts When The Spindle Rotates Counter-Clockwise, And The Feed Direction Corresponds Accordingly.
