The Patriot Hp® 970 Pd1 Indexable Drill Has A Premium Tool Steel Cutter Body, Directed Coolant-Thru Channels And Electroless Nickel Coating. Together, These Premium Features Provide Longer Tool Life, Increased Chip Evacuation, Increased Rigidity And Wear Resistance While Reducing Chip Wash, Making It The First Choice For Indexable Drilling In All Iso Class Materials. With An X-Offset Design, This Versatile Drill Series Also Excels In Non-Rotating Operations Like Facing, Boring, O.D. Turning And I.D. Turning, Plus It Will Drill From A Solid, Is Capable Of Half-Cylindrical Drilling And Entering Slanted Workpieces. The Pd1 Is Available In Length To Diameter Ratios Of 2Xd, 3Xd And 4Xd In Diameters Ranging From 0.5625” (15Mm) To 2.125” (54Mm). The Drills Are Paired With Our Proprietary Patriot Hp 914 Positive Geometry, Single-Sided Inserts With 4 Cutting Edges. The New And Improved 4-Edge Insert Design Provides Excellent Chip Formation And Evacuation With Lower Spindle Loads. Plus, The Same Insert Is Used In Both The Inboard & Outboard Insert Pockets, Eliminating The Risk Of Mixing Up Inserts. Proudly Made In Flushing, Michigan Usa
