Compared With A Carbide Finishing Insert, This Cermet Insert Can Help Lower Cost Per Finished Part In The Right Steel Finishing Application By Producing A Smoother Finish, Reducing Built-Up Edge And Maintaining A Predictable Cutting Edge. The Fg Chipbreaker Is Aimed At Finishing Or Semi-Finishing Work, Supporting Chip Control At Lighter Depths Of Cut. Best Used For Stable Finishing, Light Turning And Semi-Finishing On Steel Applications, With Additional Capability In Stainless Steel And Cast Iron Where The Workholding And Cut Are Stable.
