The Key Features Designed Into The Hi-Percarb® Series 135 Drill Allow The Product To Offer Application Benefits Not Only Beyond That Of Standard Carbide Drills, But Also Other High Performance Drills. Each Feature Of The Hi-Percarb® Series 135 Drill Was Uniquely Engineered As A Solution Towards Addressing The Issues Commonly Encountered During High Production Drilling. The High Performance Flute Design Efficiently Transports Chips And Increases Strength For Aggressive Drilling. A Secondary Flute Provides A Channel For Cooling Capabilities Not Normally Found In External Coolant Drills. This Special Feature Improves Coolant Flow To The Drill Point, Reduces Friction Along The Drill Body And Assists In Fine Swarf Evacuation. The Specialized 145° Notched Point Is Self-Centering, Eliminating The Need For Spot Drilling, Improves Chip Control And Decreases Drill Thrust And Deflection. The 4-Margin Design Increases Stability And Rigidity While Providing Improved Hole Accuracy And Surface Finish With A Burnishing Effect. The Engineered Edge Protection Improves Edge Strength, Reduces Edge Fatigue And Allows For Increased Feed Rates. The Applied Ti-Namite®-A Coating Enhances Tools Life By Providing Exceptional Heat, Wear And Erosion Resistance When Drilling Heat Resistant Alloys Like Inconel, Stainless Steel And Titanium.
