Ultra-Tool® Series 450 - Solid Carbide Straight Flute Fractional Size In-Stock Long Length Chucking Reamers. Manufactured From Ultra-Carb® Premium Micro-Grain Carbide Substrate. Reamers Up To 3/16" Diameter Are One-Piece Solid Carbide Construction. Series 450 Reamers Are Right Hand Cutting With A 45° Lead Chamfer Angle For Ease Of Entry Into Hole. The Series 450 Straight Flute Reamers Are Appropriate For All General Reaming Applications. Spiral Flute Reamers, In General, Will Produce A Better Surface Finish. Right Hand Sprial Flute Reamers Pull The Chip Upwards, Greatly Improving Chip Evacuation, And Should Therefore Be Used In Any Blind Hole Application. Left Hand Spiral Flute Reamers Push The Chips Downward And Are Recommended For Through-Hole Applications. The Shearing Action Is Excellent For Holes With Interruptions, Like Cross-Holes, Keyways And Elongated Slots.
