Eligibility for Tax Exemption
Sales tax is a tax imposed by state and local governments on the sale of goods and services. Most purchases made by Suncoast Precision Tools Inc. are subject to sales tax unless the transaction is exempt or we haven’t met the Nexus in that state. To qualify for a sales tax exemption, you must represent one of the following exempt entities:
- For-resale businesses: You are purchasing goods for the purpose of reselling them to your customers.
- Governmental bodies: This includes federal, state, and local governmental agencies.
- Nonprofit organizations: This includes charitable, educational, and religious institutions that have been granted tax-exempt status.
- Other entities: Some states grant exemptions to manufacturers, farmers, and other qualifying groups.

- Personal purchases: Your tax exemption is for business or organizational purchases only. Purchases made for personal use are taxable.
- Incorrect documentation: If we cannot verify your tax-exempt status due to insufficient or incorrect documentation, your order will be taxed.
