This Cold-Forming Tap Is Made From Premium High Speed Steel With A Tin Coated Finish And Is Designed For Miniature Internal Threads. Balax Thredfloer Taps Form Threads By Displacing Material Rather Than Cutting Chips, Helping Eliminate Chip-Control Problems While Producing Strong, Accurately Gaged Internal Threads. The Thredfloer Design Is Based On Balax Balanced Axially Technology, Which Forms The Lead Crests On Pitch To Help Reduce Axial Thrust, Tapping Torque And Premature Tap Wear. Miniature Cold-Forming Design That Provides Greater Tap Strength And Chipless Tapping Compared With Very Small Cutting Taps. Primary Application: Best For Non-Ferrous; Good For Steel & Stainless Steel. Recommended Tap Drill Range: 0.0303" To 0.0311". Key Specifications Include Ansi Shank/Blank, 1.6250" 1-5/8" Overall Length, Bottoming Style, Right Hand Thread Direction.
