This Cold-Forming Tap Is Made From Premium High Speed Steel With A Tin Coated Finish And Is Designed For Blind Holes With Bottom Clearance. Balax Thredfloer Taps Form Threads By Displacing Material Rather Than Cutting Chips, Helping Eliminate Chip-Control Problems While Producing Strong, Accurately Gaged Internal Threads. The Thredfloer Design Is Based On Balax Balanced Axially Technology, Which Forms The Lead Crests On Pitch To Help Reduce Axial Thrust, Tapping Torque And Premature Tap Wear. Bottoming Chamfer Geometry For Blind-Hole Thread Forming Where Clearance Is Available At The Bottom Of The Hole. Primary Application: Best For Non-Ferrous; Good For Steel & Stainless Steel. Recommended Tap Drill Range: 0.1510" To 0.1540".
