Balax Thredfloer Taps Form Threads By Displacing Material Rather Than Cutting Chips, Helping Eliminate Chip-Control Problems While Producing Strong, Accurately Gaged Internal Threads. The Thredfloer Design Is Based On Balax Balanced Axially Technology, Which Forms The Lead Crests On Pitch To Help Reduce Axial Thrust, Tapping Torque And Premature Tap Wear. One-Thread-Lead Design For Blind Holes Where Bottom Clearance Is Limited. Primary Application: Best For Non-Ferrous; Good For Steel & Stainless Steel. Recommended Tap Drill Range: 0.2840" To 0.2900".
